We believe climbing a mountain isn’t about who reaches the summit the fastest. It’s about enjoying every step, caring for the nature we traverse, and passing on a clean Rinjani to the next generation. That’s why MRET exists.

• WHO WE ARE

Mount Rinjani Trails was born in Sembalun, founded by local guides who have been climbing Rinjani since 2015.

We’ve seen too much: guests forced to rush, trash left behind, and porters underpaid.

We’d had enough.

So, we created a new way.

1. A way that makes you laugh on the trail, not just pant for breath.
2. A way that lets you go home with great photos, great stories, and the pride of having helped protect Rinjani.
3. We aren’t a massive tour operator; we’re a small team. But we are locals. We know every rock, every water source, and the best photo spots on Rinjani by heart.

OUR 3 PILLARS

1. ENJOY Trek at a relaxed pace. Plenty of breaks. Lots of photos. Plenty of stories. Our guides are trained to be friends, not just guides.
2. PROTECT Zero-Waste Trekking. We carry all trash back down. We use refillable bottles. We support local porters with fair wages.
3. INHERIT We educate every guest: “Leave nothing but footprints.” Because Rinjani doesn’t belong to us; it’s a legacy entrusted to us for our children and grandchildren.
